Our Story

Who we are

Luminous Support Limited was established and registered as a company in May 2023, in response to growing demand for high-quality community support. Our directors bring direct experience of working in and managing social care in community settings, and understand the real challenges individuals and families face when looking for the right support.

We believe every person should be able to live the most fulfilling life possible in the comfort of their own home — regardless of their level of day-to-day functioning, their health and social care related difficulties, or their need for care and support. That belief shapes every support plan we write.

Our Approach

Person-centred, always

Every service we provide starts with an individually assessed need. We produce outcome-focused care and support plans created with the person being supported, not for them — helping people be as physically and mentally healthy as possible, feel safe and valued, retain control over everyday life, and maintain the relationships, culture and identity that matter to them.

Wherever possible, carers are matched to clients based on care and support needs, wishes, and consistency — because familiarity and trust make a genuine difference to the quality of support someone receives.

Good care is more than support.
It's about helping people live life on their own terms.

Quality & governance

Safe, well-led and accountable

We take our regulatory responsibilities seriously, from day one.

Regulated activity

Personal Care Services, intended for registration with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) as a Supported Living Service and Domiciliary Care Service.

Quality & governance

Our governance model is built on continuous quality monitoring, with a six-way flow of information between staff, clients and management underpinned by policy relating to regulatory and statutory requirements.

Safer recruitment & training

All staff undergo Enhanced DBS checks, and receive training matched to the needs of the people they support — for example specialist training in autism or dementia support where relevant.

A note on regulation: Luminous Support intends to register with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). We do not display a CQC rating or registration status on this site until it has been confirmed and can be accurately stated.

Let's talk about the support you need.
